This is a wine that embodies everybody and everything here at Yeringberg. The vines were planted by Guill and Katherine de Pury well over 50 years ago on the original Yeringberg 1860s vineyard site. Having tended these vines for many decades, they passed the baton to David de Pury to continue the same level of care that sees wonderful fruit come into the winery each vintage. Sandra de Pury then brings her skill to the winemaking to capture the essence of this fruit in the bottle.Â
This 2022 Yeringberg is testament to the accumulation of knowledge and dedication to making great wine from a very special historic site. This is also an award to be shared with our small team, in particular Danni Leonard, who for 17 years has tended these vines like her family.Â
