PHILOSOPHY

Yeringberg wines are made only from grapes that are grown at Yeringberg, thus consistently reflecting the site, the weather and the vines. Sandra de Pury's winemaking is unhurried and traditional, and the only wines bottled are those that meet an exacting quality standard.

Yeringberg wines are serious wines, made for the long term. They are always enjoyable when young, with softness, fruit character and excellent balance, but have the structure to age gracefully. The white wines live years longer than most Australian whites, while the Yeringberg red wines have remarkable longevity and can age for at least 21 years.

Yeringberg Rosé

Our Rosé is crafted as a pinkish red wine rather than a rose-tinged white; it relies on phenolics for structure rather than being an acid-driven, just-done rosé. It's dry and fresh and leans towards texture and savouriness.

Yeringberg Babyberg White Blend

The Babyberg range is made from the youngest vines at Yeringberg, planted from 2020-2025. These are experimental and diverse wines, and vary each year.

Viognier

Viognier’s exotic opulence produces a wine of seductive and perfumed pleasure.

Marsanne Roussanne

Our traditional white blend comes from Marsanne vines planted in 1973 and Australia's oldest Roussanne vines, planted in 1983.

Chardonnay

Yeringberg Chardonnay is a single-vineyard wine made from vines planted in 1974 & 1981.

Pinot Noir

The Pinot Noir vines were planted from 1969 to 1974, so are now well and truly mature and always low-yielding. We have two different clones; MV6 and a clone originally from Great Western (known as the Rutherglen clone).

Shiraz

Our Shiraz is light on its feet, supple and savoury with a longevity that continues to demonstrate the variety's affinity with the Yarra Valley.

Cabernet Sauvignon

In the very best Cabernet years we produce a single-variety Cabernet Sauvignon from our 1999 plantings.

Yeringberg (Cabernet Blend)

First vintage 1974 – called Yeringberg Cabernet. Other varieties were added as the vines came on stream. Since 1986 the wine has been simply called “Yeringberg”.
