Yeringberg Chardonnay 2023

Our 2023 Chardonnay has that extra element of delicacy, concentration and finesse brought by cool seasons. Restrained aromas of nectarine, white peach & citrus blossom. There is a vibrancy and energy on the palate, and a savoury line of grapefruit and pithy lemon zest. Enjoy now, or as it evolves, over the next 6-8 years.

A high quality vintage producing excellent, intense wines in small quantities.

All grapes were handpicked and carefully sorted, crushed and pressed. The juice was settled overnight, then racked to barrels for fermentation. Yeasts were a mix of free and purchased. The barrels were French oak hogsheads 30% new. Malolactic fermentation occurred in the new barrels during the winter and spring. The wine remained on its yeast lees and was stirred weekly until July and then fortnightly until November.
